RED SPIDER Teams Up with Zanzibar Films on Pioneering Sci-Fi Video Game and TV Series
Dublin, Ireland (November 23, 2023) - Acclaimed filmmaker Brian Rossney has partnered with production company Zanzibar Films on an ambitious foray into video game development and television production.
The sci-fi first person shooter video game and companion TV series, titled "Ours," will be spearheaded by veteran Irish producer Edwina Forkin, whose films have earned multiple Irish Film and Television Academy (IFTA) nominations and wins, as well as an Academy Award nomination.
Zanzibar Films is best known for acclaimed feature film productions, while frequently collaborating with Rossney's visual effects and animation studio Red Spider Studios for their technical wizardry.
Although Zanzibar has built its reputation in live action films rather than gaming, "Ours" represents an ambitious effort to leverage the company’s cinematic expertise for an exciting new gaming production.
Rossney has established Red Spider Studios as a powerhouse through its award-winning VFX and animation work across mediums. Red Spider looks to bring its innovative storytelling and technical expertise to the adaption and expansion of Rossney's original "Ours" screenplay into both a pioneering sci-fi video game and companion TV series.
